Secondly, if you currently have tooling to make defense-related parts, you may list these in the Defense Tooling Database and NFFS will notify you each time that the government is buying that part. Even if the tooling that you have is customer-owned (which most of the time it is), you will have the ability to contact your customer and inform them of the open solicitation. We have seen many instances where the foundry’s customer was not even aware that there was a current buy for that part. The result is a grateful customer and another order for your foundry.
